The role of a Road Ranger is a dangerous job. Shifts consist of motorist assistance like changing flat tires, removing hazardous debris, and traffic and accident management in all weather conditions while vehicles pass at high rates of speed. Kudos to David Caraballo and Yeardley Camacho who have been personally recognized by the local Fire Department for their assistance with a recent highway accident.
Essential workers come in many forms. We’re proud of the quick work our teams do to keep commuters safe during times of adversity and year round.
On March 22, 2020 in Palmetto, Florida -a driver approaching the on-ramp to I-275, took the left turn too quickly, causing his tanker’s load to shift. The cab and tanker overturned, spilling around 3,600 gallons of fuel onto the roadway and grassy shoulder. All northbound and southbound lanes were shut down at the intersection of U.S. 41 and I-275 after the fuel tanker overturned.
