DBiS Expands Texas Market Project Base with System-Wide Performance-Based Contract
Throughout Texas, there are a collection of regional mobility authorities (RMA) that manage the states toll roads. The Central Texas RMA (CTRMA) has awarded DBiS a five-year contract with two additional five-year renewal options to provide system-wide performance-based maintenance for their toll road system. This contract expands our work in Texas and gives us an initial presence in the Austin market. This features the general maintenance of the roadways and tolling facilities of the Manor Expressway, the MoPac Express, the Bergstrom Expressway, and other tolled roads through Travis, Hays, and Williamson Counties. It also calls for emergency and incident management and features enhanced criteria for performance reviews.
Maintenance for toll roads is a more concentrated process, because lane availability and the need to keep the facilities and landscaped areas aesthetically pleasing requires a focused management plan. Lane availability is crucial to CTRMA’s revenue, while travelers paying tolls to use these roads demand a higher level of service including “nearly resort-level” landscaped areas and pristine roads. DBiS is no stranger to this level of performance, performing similar services for toll roads in Texas, Florida, and elsewhere in the U.S. and Canada. We will bring these company-wide best practices to this project.
Executive Vice President David Rader said of the win, “The recent CTRMA win is a huge accomplishment for DBi Services. Austin is one of the fastest growing cities in America. Not only is CTRMA a highly respected and ‘best in class’ toll agency, but this project also positions DBi to grow via a density and client base diversification strategy in this very robust market.”
