DBi Services understands the vital role structure management and inspection plays in our transportation infrastructure and is committed to a process that will ensure these assets remain safe throughout their projected useful lives.

Inspection services performed by DBi Services are always a vital part of our projects involving structures. DBi Services performs inspections in accordance with the Federal NBIS (National Bridge Inspection Standards) for all structures on a 2-year cycle. We additionally perform interim and fracture critical bridge inspections and coordination/inspection for maintenance and/or repair activities. Complete inspection (including underwater) of superstructure and substructure for bridge and tunnel systems are performed in accordance with local agency, AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) and FHWA (Federal Highway Administration) standards.

Inspections incorporate the following sequential activities:

• Review of previous data and records
• Development of an Inspection and Maintenance Form
• Incorporation of Pontis Elements and Local Agency forms
• Traffic Control Plan
• Inspection phase
• Structural analysis and ratings
• Recommendations
• Interim/final reports
