Striping Types
Hot Thermoplastic
Thermoplastic is ideal for long lines or intersection markings on new blacktop. A specially formulated thermoplastic known as “Aggressive Bond Thermoplastic” has been designed for installation on new or old concrete and aged asphalt with some surface preparation.
Preformed Thermoplastic
Preformed thermoplastic is simple to use and is ideal for intersection markings. The material is pre-cut to desired widths or required legends. Glass beads are distributed throughout the marking.
Marking Tapes
DBi Services offers both temporary marking tape and permanent marking tape. Temporary tapes are ideal for work zones requiring altered traffic patterns. Permanent tape is used on new asphalt or concrete pavement with glass beads embedded in the tape for greater reflectivity.
Epoxy Painting
One of the durable liquid pavement markings offered by DBi Services is epoxy painting. This is a two-part pavement marking system with very little or no preparation required.
Methyl Methacrylate (MMA)
Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) is one of the most durable pavement marking materials available today. MMA can be screed applied, profiled, extruded and sprayed at various thicknesses. It can be surface applied onto asphalt or concrete roadways.
Structured MMA is designed for application via a splatter pattern. When applied over a new or bare pavement surface, the structured line creates a solid line effect when viewed by the driver. Additionally, the design produces enhanced wet night retroreflectiveity by allowing water to flow off its peaks and valleys.
