$20 Million Project Unveiled for Corporate Office Complex
Owners of two family businesses will join forces to restore a pair of downtown office towers in a $20 million project announced Friday.
A partnership between George F. Hayden of Hayden Electric and Neal and Paul DeAngelo of DBi Services will purchase the Traders and Hazleton National bank buildings.
The 11-story Markle Building and Citiscape, which Hayden owns and started renovating 11 years ago, will become part of the partnership's holdings.
DBi Services will move its world corporate headquarters downtown from its current base at 100 N. Conahan Drive in the Hazleton Heights. The company performs maintenance services similar to those done by public highway departments, including upkeep of highways, drainage systems, landscaping, painted lines and signs. Operating from 60 offices in five nations, DBi Services employs 1,500, of whom more than 250 work in Hazleton where the company began and where the DeAngelos grew up.
