High friction surface treatmentsEach year in the United States, more than 32,000 people die in traffic crashes. According to the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), these crashes have an estimated economic cost of more than $230 billion.

DBi awarded first NJ county project for HFSTDBi was awarded the first New Jersey county project for HFST. Somerset County successfully applied for a $311,000 grant for this project through the NJTPA’s 2013 Local Safety Program.

DBi completes final phase of Placer County HFST projectDuring the last four years of installing HFST on Caltrans projects throughout California, DBi invited several counties to on-site open houses because they wanted to learn more about the benefits of HFST and how they could apply for HSIP (Highway Safety Improvement Program) grants from the state.
