Pavement Markers / Marking Removal
In general, there are two types of pavement markers (reflectors). Both are extremely valuable to delineate travel lanes and to help enhance pavement markings. These markers provide highly effective, long-life visibility, particularly at night and in wet weather. The prisms on the markers reflect after a person's headlights shine on them.
The removal of existing pavement markings is required for a number of reasons. Two of the most common are when traffic patterns need to be changed to accommodate work zones, and when markings are removed to install additional travel lanes or turn lanes where developments or retail stores are built.
