- Core Aeration & Overseeding - Aeration is a mechanical form of cultivation which loosens the soil by removing cores, leaving holes in the soil. It improves turf performance by allowing water, air and nutrients to move more freely into the root zone of the grass plants, making for a healthier lawn. Overseeding is done to thicken up turf after core aeration, in areas where compaction has created thinness or bare spots.
- Dethatching and Overseeding - Dethatching is a turf renovation process necessary beause of excessive thatch build-up. When thatch exceeds 3/4 of an inch, it becomes difficult for water, air and nutrients to penetrate this matting of dead grass plants. The excessive thatch layer then creates an environment ideal for disease and insects to breed and live, which ultimately causes the decline of your lawn. Excessive thatch also forces grass roots to grow closer to the soil surface, and often into the thatch mat itself. During hot dry periods, this causes turf to suffer from heat stress, leading to the decline of your lawn. This mechanical removal of the thatch mat could be just what your lawn requires to get it back into great shape. Overseeding will promote new grass growth after the removal of thatch leaves turf areas thin. Turf will bounce back stronger than ever once this process has been completed.
- Vegetation Control - This is the answer for eliminating undesirable vegetation in your stone sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, or anywhere that has undesirable vegetation.
