Temporary Removable Marking Tape
Temporary pavement marking tape comes in a variety of widths, normally ranging from 4" to 24". Typically, the tape is white or yellow, and is used in work zones when traffic patterns need to be altered. It can be applied with or without a primer, depending on surface and/or weather conditions. Ideally, the tape will remain reflective and in place for the duration of the phase of construction. The best characteristic of this tape is that it can be removed without the use of a pavement marking removal machine.

Durable Pavement Marking Tape
This permanent, retro-reflective, conformable preformed pavement marking tape is used on new asphalt or as an overlay marking on most asphalt or concrete pavement surfaces in good condition. It comes in a variety of widths, normally 4" to 24", and required legends. The tape is 90 mils with glass beads embedded throughout the tape to insure reflectivity. Ideally, the best installation is when the tape is applied on newly paved asphalt. The tape is put down just before the final roller compaction is made by the paving contractor. This installation is best when lines or legends are required immediately after paving is completed.
