Aquagenix EXOTIC/NUISANCE PLANT CONTROL
The uncontrolled spread of exotics such as Melaleuca, Australian pine, Brazilian pepper, kudzu, mesquite, Salt Cedar, Chinese tallow, Japanese climbing fern and purple loostrife have seriously impacted the delicate balance of nature throughout North America. Exotic species are one of the major causes of power outages and electrical shortages within utility right of ways and easements. Melaleuca trees are currently displacing native vegetation at the rate of thousands of acres per year, consuming ten times more fresh water than indigenous species. Ecosystems are adversely impacted by the introduction of such exotic plants, which substantially degrade the value of the land. They displace native flora and precious wildlife, birds and waterfowl, and cause adverse ecological shifts throughout North America. Safe control of these species in natural areas requires well-trained and experienced crews. Aquagenix crews are trained to differentiate exotic species from natives; trained in methods required to safely remove them with minimal impact to adjacent native vegetation. Aquagenix is uniquely qualified in the area of exotic/nuisance plant control, with a staff and equipment available to immediately mobilize and provide precise treatment applications, careful removal of undesirables, and ongoing maintenance activities.
